The Lord Fairfax EMS Council Board of Directors was established to bring together providers of emergency medical services, the public agencies involved with health and safety, and community leaders and citizens to plan and implement a comprehensive emergency medical services system in the area to be served. The Council serves the Counties of Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, Warren and the City of Winchester. The Council consists of a minimum of eight (8) directors and a maximum of fifty (50) directors, with an average of twenty-two (22) directors consisting of individuals from consumers, government representatives, hospital administrators, physicians, nurses and fire/rescue departments from the service area. Page County has three (3) members on the Board. Directors served for a one year term with no term limits.
Meetings are held quarterly on the third Wednesday of the month, starting in January, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Lord Fairfax EMS Council Office, located at 180 Prosperity Drive, Suite 1, Winchester, VA 22602. The Annual Meeting of the Board is held in June of each year, at the time and place set by the Board.
