Getting a Pool?

For homeowners who are installing a swimming pool, please be sure to obtain the required building and zoning permit, prior to construction.  A zoning permit is required in Page County when a pool is permanent and will not be taken down. If the property is located within the town limits, please contact that respective town office.  A building permit is required when the surface area is 150 sq. ft. or greater, the volume is greater than 5,000 gallons, and the depth is 24 inches or greater.  Any size pool with a pump requires an electrical permit.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, among children ages 1-14, fatal drowning remains the second leading cause of unintentional injury-related death. Protect your family by obtaining permits for your above ground swimming pool.

For more information, please contact the Page County Department of Planning & Community Development, at 540-743-6674.
