Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, that the Page County Board of Zoning Appeals shall hold a public hearing at 10:00 a.m., on August 21, 2018, in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room, located in the County Government Center, 103 South Court Street, 2nd Floor, Luray, VA, to receive public comments and to consider the following requests:
(1) The applicants, David & Samantha Jenkins, have filed an application for a variance for property located at 1075 Comertown Road, Shenandoah, VA 22849, and further identified by tax map number 97-A-57. This property is zoned as Agriculture (A-1) and contains approximately 1.919 acres. The density range in this area is medium. The applicant is proposing to construct a 13x18 from porch. The required front setback is 50 feet. The applicant is requesting a variance to a 29 foot front setback.
(2) The applicant, Battle Creek Pentecostal Church, have filed an application for a variance for property located at 212 Battle Creek Road, Stanley, VA 22851, and further identified by tax map number 59-A-20. This property is zoned as Woodland-Conservation (W-C) and contains approximately 6,915 square feet. The density range in this area is medium. The applicant is proposing to construct a 12x24 addition onto church. The required front setback is 50 feet. The applicant is requesting a variance to a 2.5 foot front setback.
